Bandai Hobby Hi-Res 1/100 Gundam Astray Red Frame ”Gundam Seed Astray” Model Kit, white (BAS5055356) Description
Bandai Hobby Hi-Res 1/100 Gundam Astray Red Frame Gundam Seed Astray Model K is a beautifully crafted and highly realistic model of the Gundam Astray Red Frame. Die-cast has been used to create an intricate and heavy frame while the armor on the upper arms and shoulder blades move in response to the movement of your arms. The pre-painted and pre-assembled frame is a work of art in itself with careful attention paid to every detail from the embossed textures to the realistic coloring.
This toy has a plastic frame. The plastic is not painted. It is painted on the die-cast part. The runner x14 logo is on it too so they know who made it. This toy would be best for kids who are 8 years old or older because of its level of difficulty and because you need to use your hands and fingers to make the toy go forward and turn corners.
The pre-painted and pre-assembled frame was created using die-cast, recreating an intricate texture and heft. The Armor on the upper arm slides as the arm moves. Make sure this fitsby entering your model number.
Pros: really good instructions in ENGLISH, sturdy pre built internal frame, glossy multicolor parts, looks good without paint, poses really well.Cons: doesn’t NOT look like the CGI front box art (the eyes don’t glow, etc.), high price, assembly directions need to be followed closely, would look even better with minimal Gundam marker lining, not loaded with gimmicks that few will ever see.Assembly time: 6-9 hours.I have the Perfect Grade of this model. He thoroughly enjoyed this Gundam as a classic collectors item. He very much enjoyed it! For a Gundam builder, he said it was easy to assemble but the stickers themselves are a challenging to put on the Gundam. There is so much to like about this but for $150+ and it’s size it is a little underwhelming. I like this one much better. Beautiful and perfectly balanced inner frame. The figure is surprisingly hefty and poseable. It was a gift for my son. I like this one much better. He thoroughly enjoyed this Gundam as a classic collectors item. The detail is amazing and I love seeing him on my desk. There is so much to like about this but for $150+ and it’s size it is a little underwhelming. He said he likes it and is looking forward to putting it together. I expected it to much much bigger but once posed and such it definitely makes him seem much smaller. I expected it to much much bigger but once posed and such it definitely makes him seem much smaller. The frame is sturdy and the joints are nice and tight. 5/5 would recommend. Those models can be seen on YouTube and take days to weeks to build.I get my joy from building Gundams. This one was so worth it. Looks better overall, legs and arms don’t fall apart during posing.I don’t paint spray parts trees, extensively pre paint parts, Milliput and sand parts, put on all manner of decals, then weather and rust everything. All parts that are attached to the inner frame are under-gated on the runner which makes all nub-marks almost non-existent.
